A first lump sum (up to £3,500 with children, otherwise £2,500), then up to 18 monthly payments (£350 or £100).
How to claim
- Apply on GOV.UK ("Bereavement Support Payment") or by phone to the Bereavement Service.
- Have the death certificate and your National Insurance number ready.
