Afterward

Get your affairs in order

Everything else on this site is for people sorting out a death that has already happened. This one is the opposite: an hour now saves your family weeks later.

What to write down

About you

Full name, date and place of birth, ID or national insurance number, and where those documents live.

Key people

Who gets the first call: family, executor, solicitor or accountant, GP, employer.

Documents and where they are

The will and who holds it, deeds, policies, certificates. Note the location, never the password.

Accounts and money

Banks, pensions, life and funeral cover, mortgages, direct debits and subscriptions.

Wishes

Burial or cremation, music, who should not find out from social media, organ donation.

Digital life

Main email, Apple and Google legacy contacts, social accounts, cloud photos. Where the password manager is, not what is in it.
